The Stone Labyrinths are complex tunnels situated all around Yliakum. They can be accessed through the Bronze Doors located on the First Level. It is also in the Stone Labyrinths that Laanx went in exile for many years. Although the tunnels can be hard to access, they are one of the main sources of food and other resources for the cities and many adventurers go on errand in them in search of fame and wealth. There are also many who go in the Stone Labyrinths to collect and kill forbidden plants and animals, often because they might have some magical power.

The Stone Labyrinths predate the arrival of the first races and even predate the very existence of the stalactite of Yliakum. The Stone Labyrinths around Yliakum were originally all dead ends, however after an earthquake, the tunnel system changed and some new tunnels formed leading to the surface. They are also some tunnels which have been created by the dwarf, looking for precious ores and crystals.

It is mos probable there are other places similar to Yliakum and even maybe access to the surface, however no one has had the courage to adventure so deep into the caves.

Fauna and Flora

Inhabitants of Yliakum hunt not only the animals inside these caves for their edible meat and warm furs, but also fungi, molds, and saprophytes. These plants cannot be found elsewhere, since there are no other suitable environments for them, and their curative and helpful properties are valuable to the people. Like all places, there are also more pernicious and aggressive creatures living here as well from each of the four natural kingdoms. Hunters and gatherers must keep an eye out for these predators, who create an obstacle for those who venture in the less controlled and more dangerous tunnels of the Stone Labyrinths. As always in places of danger, great sources of wealth are just waiting in these caves for someone clever enough to find and profit from them.

Bronze Doors

The Bronze Doors, leading to the mysterious labyrinths

The Bronze Doors, located along the perimeter of the first level, access the Stone Labyrinths. They are normally open to allow access for the merchants, the only time when they might be closed would be when the survival of the Yliakum inhabitants might be at stake.

The Bronze Doors are all situated near some powerful energy source in order for it to provide energy to move the huge doors. The closest one the Hydlaa, the Eagle Bronze Doors, is powered by a water.
