Mining is the ability to dig various natural resources out of the land. It is both physically and mentally exhausting.

How to

  • Equip a rock pick (can be purchased from merchants)
  • Search for a mine (or ask people in the game). Fholen Medraa in East Hydlaa is a good resource.
  • Type in "/dig" or specifically "/dig iron" (or whatever you want to dig for). Alternatively, with the rock pick in hand, you can right click the area and left click the 'use equipped tool' icon that is displayed. Pay attention to your system chat window; if the message 'you don't see a good place to dig' shows, then you are not in a mine-able spot.
  • Be patient: sometimes you have to dig very often in the same place in order to find an ore.

Tips

  • Mining is good for beginners to earn money in the game.
  • Try to sell ores you have found in an auction, you will get better paid by players than by NPCs.
  • Digging for ores increases your experience points even if not being successful.
  • Some spots at the mines are better than others. Try to find 'em.
