The Azure Sun is the huge crystal in the ceiling of Yliakum that supplies the land with light. It radiates strong magic energy, so that it is impossible to survive in its nearer surroundings. Criminals that have committed serious crimes are sent to the Crystal on hypnotized Megaras to die there, because this is one of the few ways of dieing that won't send you to the Death Realm. The Crystal has darker and brighter periods that indicate day and night. As it is impossible to examine it closely, nobody knows exactly how it works. One theory is, that it is connected to the surface and transfers the light from there. The Death Realm has its own crystal and those two seem to be strangely connected.
